Members of the
Hopi Tribe of Arizona will head to the polls on Thursday to vote on proposed changes to their constitution.
The constitution hasn't changed significantly since it was first adopted in 1936. The revisions would reorganize the government into four branches -- villages, legislative, executive and judicial, according to the
proposed Hopi constitution site.
The
Bureau of Indian Affairs is overseeing the election.
